Report: Police On The Trail Of Fake DAVID LEE ROTH

Rebecca Penty of The Hamilton Spectator reports: Police are looking for a Cambridge [Ontario, Canada] man (photo) they believe was the famed local David Lee Roth poseur.

And Welland musician Frank Crytes recorded solo music with the man, whom he knew as David — and he wants his tunes back.

Crytes was a passenger when the man's car was pulled over for speeding near Brantford on May 23.

"He said he knew some people and he was going to get me a publishing deal," Crytes said.

They were going to dinner when the driver had an allergic reaction and sped up before being stopped. He told police he was Roth, of VAN HALEN fame, before going to hospital.
